1) Overview

Taxi Port provides transportation and delivery services through two mobile applications: (1) a Customer App for requesting rides or shipments, and (2) a Captain/Driver App for accepting and completing requests. This policy applies to both.

2) Data We Collect

A. Account Information

  • Name, phone number, and optional email
  • Account type (Customer / Captain/Driver)
  • Profile photo (if provided)

B. Order & Service Data

  • Pickup and drop-off locations and area names
  • Order/shipment details (items, receiver name/phone when applicable)
  • Vehicle selection, pricing, distance, and trip status
  • Cancellation reasons and service messages

C. Location Information

With your permission, we may collect location data to enable pickup/drop-off selection, navigation, and service availability. Location usage depends on your device settings.

D. Device & Diagnostic Data

  • Device identifiers (e.g., UUID / device ID when available)
  • App logs and crash/diagnostic information (for support and reliability)
  • Notification subscription identifiers (to deliver order alerts)

3) How We Use Your Data

  • Create and manage your account and verify identity where needed
  • Process ride and delivery requests and connect customers with captains/drivers
  • Enable maps, routing, and order tracking features
  • Send important notifications (new orders, status updates, service messages)
  • Prevent fraud, enforce policies, and improve service quality and app performance
  • Provide support and handle issues and disputes

4) Sharing of Information

We may share limited information only as needed to provide our service:

  • Between Customers and Captains/Drivers: pickup/drop-off details, names, and phone numbers when needed for service completion (including receiver phone/name for shipments).
  • Service Providers: infrastructure and tooling providers (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics) to run and improve the service.
  • Legal & Safety: when required by law or necessary to protect users and the platform.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.

5) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please keep your account credentials safe and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

6) Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data.

7) Delete Account & Associated Data

Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your Taxi Port account. When your account is deleted, your account and associated data are deleted, including profile information and data linked to your account (such as saved details and identifiers), subject to any required legal retention obligations.

How to request deletion

  1. Open the Taxi Port app and go to Settings (if available).
  2. Select Delete Account and follow the steps.
  3. If the in-app option is not available, contact us using the details below.

What data may be retained

In some cases, we may retain limited records required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or financial auditing.

8) Your Choices & Rights

  • You can manage notification permissions in your device settings.
  • You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information where applicable.
  • You may withdraw consent for optional data collection (e.g., location) via device settings.
